On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, the winners of Yekum’s humorous short-story contest were announced at an event honoring Efraim Kishon, Israel’s greatest humorist. Sarit Gradwohl was awarded third place for her story “My Wife’s Lover”, with a prize of 1000 NIS. A synopsis of the story: A student falls in love with his teacher. How should he be cured? The teacher and her husband invite him to live with them and care for their twin babies. The natural tensions in this love triangle set the stage for this comedy and its surprise ending, in which the young lad emerges as the most mature of the bunch.
